Award-winning microgrid, resiliency hub program continues to grow in popularity as Maryland focuses on clean, reliable energy
November 12, 2024
BALTIMORE – The Maryland Energy Administration today announced it is extending the application deadline to one of its most popular and high-demand resilient energy incentive programs. The Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Resilient Maryland Program application deadline has been extended to 3:00 P.M. ET, Monday, December 2, 2024. This extension provides additional time for applicants to prepare strong proposals for funding consideration.
The program is designed to help Maryland communities and organizations identify optimal system configurations to bolster the resilience, sustainability, energy affordability, and efficiency of their essential facilities and operations and safeguard them from the harmful effects of prolonged power outages.
In FY24, nearly $10 million in program funds were awarded to 23 individual resilient energy projects across the State through the award-winning Resilient Maryland Program. Since its creation in FY20, the program has helped fund over 60 projects that are in various stages of development and installation. Many of these projects are community-led efforts that rely on the expertise of planning committees to help minimize roadblocks and build capacity for future projects.
Questions from interested applicants should be directed to the Maryland Energy Administration Resilient Maryland Team by sending an email to RMP.MEA@Maryland.gov. Electronic application submissions are required. Please visit the Resilient Maryland webpage to learn more.
