MAWA Eastern Nationals Welcomes Aaron Brooks

SALISBURY, MD – Aaron Brooks, a two-time Big Ten champion and two-time NCAA champion in wrestling, will return to the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Eastern Nationals this year and host a wrestling clinic.

Brooks, who wrestles for Penn State University, wrestled in the MAWA Eastern Nationals as a child. He competed for North Hagerstown High School and was a four-time state champion. He has also been recognized in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

This year’s MAWA Eastern Nationals are set for Saturday-Sunday, April 30-May 1, at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury. There will be more than 1,250 wrestlers from at least 12 states and Washington, D.C. participating in the tournament, including more than 125 girls.

The Aaron Brooks Wrestling Clinic is set for Friday, April 29, at the Wicomico Civic Center. The clinic will run from 7-8:30 p.m. and include technique, drilling, live wrestling and mindset training.

The clinic will be open to 200 wrestlers at $30/participant. Participants do not have to be competing in the Eastern Nationals. Registration is available at www.wrestlereg.com.
