May is Mental Health Month

The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) reports that 8 of 10 workers with a mental illness condition report shame and stigma which prevents them from getting treatment. In 2017, 20.8% of SSDI beneficiaries had a mental illness (U.S. Social Security 2018 Annual Statistical Supplement).
