Mayor and Salisbury Youth Civics Council to Hold 2017 Youth Leadership Academy

Downtown-Salisbury-2

Mayor Jake Day and the Salisbury Youth Civics Council are pleased to invite local high school students to attend this year’s Youth Leadership Academy on Saturday, July 8th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Each of the day’s events will be held in Room 109 of the Henson Building at Salisbury University. This Conference is free of charge and will serve as a resume-builder for youth as well as an opportunity for them to network with local leaders. Students will participate in engaging panel discussions, a case study analysis, and a networking lunch with prominent members of the community.

The Youth Leadership Academy’s mission is to help students in Wicomico County become better leaders by engaging them in community-building activities. This year’s event is focused on improving our City and is only open for 8th-12th grade students. The application deadline is June 25.
