Salisbury, MD — The Maryland Capital Enterprises (MCE) Women’s Business Center invites entrepreneurs and small business owners to attend a free, in-person Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Pohanka Lewis Steele Building, located at 112 West Gordy Road in Salisbury.
Titled “MCE Pohanka Lunch & Learn: Two Questions. One Conversation.”, this engaging session will explore how strategic partnerships, fleet solutions, and community connections can help businesses grow and access new opportunities.
The session will be led by Shawna Kearsley, Business Development Partner at Pohanka Commercial Pro+ Uptime Center. Attendees will be invited to consider two simple but powerful questions:
- Are you driving a vehicle for your business?
- Are you pursuing—or already winning—government contracts?
If the answer to either is yes, this conversation offers valuable insight into how businesses can position themselves for long-term success through collaboration and resource alignment.
Participants will learn about:
- Building strategic partnerships that support business growth
- Accessing fleet solutions with predictable costs
- Leveraging referral relationships and co-marketing opportunities
- Connecting with community-focused initiatives like Pohanka Pays It Forward
“This session is about opening doors,” said Lisa Twilley, Director of the MCE Women’s Business Center. “Whether you’re just starting out or looking to scale, the right partnerships can make all the difference. We’re excited to bring this opportunity to our local business community.”
The Lunch & Learn is free of charge and open to all, and lunch will be provided. Seating is limited, and advance registration is required.
