Minds in Motion Children’s Museum has been awarded $15,000 from the 2019 Ratcliffe Foundation Shore Hatchery competition. The final competition was on October 25, 2019 at Salisbury University. The Shore Hatchery is open to any Mid-Atlantic business startups. The goal is to reward individuals for their entrepreneurial efforts in the creation and growth of businesses with the potential of positively impacting regional employment.
Among the four winners, Minds in Motion Children’s Museum was the only not for profit recipient. MiM Children’s Museum was conceived in 2017 by a group of local educators and moms. MiM’s goal is to provide children a place to explore, discover, and create through interactive exhibits and educational programs, igniting curiosity and fostering a lifetime love of learning. They are currently raising nearly 2 million dollars to open their doors. Fundraising is underway. Their next event is The Hot Chocolate 5k on January 1, 2020 at 1 pm.
