Nabb Center Hosts Maryland Archive Project Presentation

Salisbury, MD – Salisbury University’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture hosts “Maryland State Archives, Mayis Indigenous Records Project,” a presentation about a new state archive project, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, in Conway Hall Room 156.

Maria Day, Maryland State Archives senior director of special collections, conservation and library services, discusses the archives’ new initiative to provide access to records about Native American peoples of the Chesapeake region. Her presentation includes a demonstration of the Mayis website.

Admission is free and the public is invited. Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass at http://webapps.salisbury.edu/parking/visitor.
