Shore leaders honored Senior Corps volunteers and AmeriCorps members in honor of National Service Recognition Day April 3. The service recognition day is an initiative led by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Senior Corps Programs of the Lower Eastern Shore gathered recently to celebrate volunteers’ and members’ service to our community: the Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) recognized the importance of their volunteers’ service along with elected officials from Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset and Dorchester counties.
