Salisbury, MD– Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) is gearing up to host their 34th Annual Golf Tournament on August 5, 2020 at the Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, MD. The tournament is presented by BBSI – Salisbury and sponsored by many other local businesses on the Eastern Shore.

JAES was looking to host their annual tournament back in July. The organization ultimately had to cancel the tournament due to inclement weather. “We originally didn’t know if we would be able to host the tournament due to the pandemic,” said JAES Marketing and Events Coordinator, Ivory Bandoh. “When we received confirmation to move forward with the planning, the weather had other plans,” she said jokingly.

The tournament is set to take place at the Green Hill Golf Course at the Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, MD. “We’re excited to finally get the community together on the course,” said Jayme Hayes, JAES President. “We know everyone was looking forward to that day. We were so sad we had to cancel. Overall, we’re glad we can still have the tournament and support the community that continues to support us!”

JAES is still taking safety precautions and following all CDC guidelines for the upcoming event. “We have been working closely with the staff at Green Hill to make sure all guidelines are being followed. We want nothing more than to keep our players, volunteers, and staff as safe as possible,” said Bandoh. “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone on the course for a fun day of friends and fresh air!”

Registration for the 34th Annual Golf Tournament is now open and closes on July 31st. JAES is anticipating teams to sell-out quickly. Junior Achievement is also looking for volunteers to assist during the event. Those who are interested in volunteering should contact Ivory Bandoh at ivory.bandoh@ja.org.
