Head to Pemberton Historical Park this summer for new public programs that are free to attend.

Friday night public programs kicked off June 23 and will continue each Friday evening through Aug. 25. From 6-7 p.m., there will be games such as KanJam and Frisbee, from 7-8 p.m. there will be a campfire and s’mores, and from 8-9 p.m., there will be a night hike.

On Saturday mornings, now through Aug. 19, see a program at Pemberton Historical Park’s new amphitheater from 11 a.m.-noon. Activities will vary, but they will include animal and reptile shows, ranger interpretations and demonstrations.

People are encouraged to bring a lunch and have lunch with a ranger. During each of these Saturday dates, the Pemberton Historical Park Welcome Center will also be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The public programs on Fridays and Saturdays are weather-dependent, but the Welcome Center will be open rain or shine.

For more information about programs and events at Pemberton Historical Park, visit www.PembertonPark.org. For questions about the Welcome Center and public programs, contact Ranger Bob Kreiter at 410-251-5336.
