Peninsula Alternative Health will soon make history as the first ever medical cannabis dispensary on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This week, the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission awarded PAH an official dispensary license, and after full inspection by the MMCC, PAH plans to open its doors within 30 days.
“Awarding of the official license and passing the MMCC inspection were the final steps in the process,” Anthony Darby, CEO of PAH said. “We are one of six dispensaries currently awarded in the State of Maryland, and we are extremely grateful for the opportunity to provide medical cannabis to pre-approved patients very soon.”
Licensed medical cannabis growers and processors have been working throughout the state to make product available for dispensaries to provide to patients and approved dispensaries are expected to have product within 30 days.
PAH was created in 2015 to provide alternative medicine to patients who can benefit from safe access to quality medicinal cannabis and will serve Maryland District 37 which encompasses portions of Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot and Wicomico Counties.
