The Rotary Club of Salisbury is pleased to welcome to its Thursday, February 27 meeting Dr. Steve Leonard, President/CEO of the Peninsula Regional Health System (PRHS) and Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC). He will speak on the recent growth of the health system— including ownership of both Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and the McCready Health Pavilion—the health system’s ambulatory expansion across Delmarva, and a new branding study resulting in a renaming of PRHS later this summer.
Dr. Leonard has been with Peninsula Regional since 2003. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Finance and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Salisbury University. Dr. Leonard also holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a research focus on Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness.

Dr. Leonard was presented the 2019 American College of Healthcare Executives Senior-Level Healthcare Regent’s Award for his contributions to healthcare excellence in the state of Maryland. He was also honored by the Tri-County District Boy Scouts of America with the organization’s 2019 Distinguished Citizen Award.
