Peninsula Regional Holds Free Breast Cancer Conference on October 4

Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute will hold its 13th annual Breast Cancer Conference, “A Perspective on Breast Cancer,” on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at The Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury.

Presented in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Maryland, the American Cancer Society, MAC Inc. and Women Supporting Women, the conference is aimed at breast cancer survivors and others interested in breast cancer who want to learn more about what’s new in diagnosis, treatment, survival and resources.

Registration for the event and vendor exhibits will start at 4:30 p.m.; dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. Presentations will run from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Topics covered include breast reconstruction surgery and soy and breast cancer. Amy Black of the Pink Ink Fund will discuss reconstructive, restorative and recovery tattooing. The conference will end with a Q& A panel discussion with the audience.
