Salisbury, MD – Celebrate National Poetry Month with the City of Salisbury’s Arts, Business and Culture Department and Salisbury Poet Laureate Nancy Mitchell at the April Poets’ Corner event.
Poets’ Corner will be held Thursday, April 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the Salisbury Headquarters, located at 115 S. Division St. This free event is hosted by Mitchell and will also serve as the book launch for “Poets on the Plaza.”
“I couldn’t be more proud of our citizens’ placemaking poems, many celebrating our unique Eastern Shore culture, published in the ‘Poets on the Plaza’ collection,” Mitchell said.
The guest poet for this month’s event is Dom Sessa, Ms. Wheelchair Maryland. There will also be open-mic poetry, and attendees can bring their own poems or prose to read or other poems/prose they would like to share, with attribution.
