On Thurs. June 19th at 12:00 pm, the Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion are delighted to present a very special French Tea to raise money for the restoration of our Joshua Thurston pianoforte built in the early 1800s. Menu includes appetizer of bread with cheese and pear, chilled green apple soup, open face sandwich with cheese and beets, Brie and chutney quiche, assorted pastries with salmon, or mushrooms, orange madeleines, brioche, vanilla cookies , petit fours and more served with a special French tea. Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion is a 501 (c ) (3) dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of Poplar Hill Mansion, Salisbury’s oldest Federal House Museum 1795-1805. We are open for free tours the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month except January, from 1-4 or private tours for a small fee. The Mansion is also one of the loveliest venues available to rent for your very special wedding, party or meeting. Call for information. We also accept donations of nonperishable food for local food pantries. Come experience your history at Poplar Hill Mansion!
