Access to care begins long before you arrive at the hospital. In this day and age, that often means patients are visiting websites well before they seek care. That’s why Peninsula Regional Health System recently debuted its brand-new, user-friendly website.
The site, www.peninsula.org, features a number of improvements, including an expanded physician directory to help patients find primary care and specialty care providers. It even offers a way to schedule appointments with a primary care doctor online.
With Peninsula Regional Medical Center being the cornerstone of the health system, one of the most exciting new additions is a wayfinding feature; after all, with more than 1 million square feet, the Medical Center can be hard to navigate. Soon, visitors will be able to use their smartphones to access walking directions from one end of PRMC’s campus to the other.
The new website will be presented in a variety of formats, making it easy for patients and visitors to access the information they’re looking for regardless of whether they’re on their smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
In recent years, PRMC has displayed tremendous growth with the construction of its Delmarva Health Pavilions in Ocean Pines and Millsboro, the expansion of its FamilyLab services and the development of its community pharmacies. Soon, it will open the new Peninsula Breast Center on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. Now visitors will also be able to find the PRMC healthcare facility closest to them when they log onto the site. It’s all part of Peninsula Regional’s efforts to make finding care easier for the community.
