Salisbury, MD – The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance is hosting a recruitment session to inform students about the Fundamentals of Construction Training Course. The training course was designed by the ABC Chesapeake chapter in partnership with the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance. The recruitment session will be at the Lower Shore American Job Center on May 11, 2023 at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Staff from the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance will be answering any questions that anyone will have and provide computers and assistance to fill out the application form.
The Fundamentals of Construction Training Course is a 5 week series that will result in obtaining 5 industry related certifications such as OSHA10, lift safety, ladder safety and fall protection, first aid and CPR, and powder driven fasteners. View the class schedule by clicking here.
The course curriculum will include construction math, blueprint reading, power tool use, resume help and employability skills. Begin filling out an application by clicking here.
Classes will begin on May 23, 2023. The selected students will be provided with Personal Protection Equipment on the first day.
On the last day of class, June 16, 2023 students who completed the course will attend a graduation ceremony and employer meet and greet. Those students will also receive a voucher for construction site approved footwear.
