Purnell D. White Memorial Scholarship Fund was established through the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
Applicants must be high school students graduating from public or private high schools in Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset Counties of Maryland who have been accepted to an accredited two or four year institution. Students must be pursuing a degree in agriculture or a closely related field. Annual scholarship awards are a minimum of $3,000 each. The Community Foundation manages over 200 endowed scholarship funds and during fiscal year 2014 awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to local students.
