Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC), its members, and the local community proudly joined together on December 3 to celebrate the grand opening of the Eastern Shore Pregnancy Center’s brand-new clinic, located at 2604 Old Ocean City Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
The special ribbon cutting ceremony was warmly hosted by Executive Director Jacquelyn Seldon, her dedicated staff, and board members. Guests were welcomed with light fares, door prizes and guided tours of the beautiful new facility and learned about the many free services available to families, including:
- Pregnancy tests & ultrasounds
- Pregnancy counseling
- Material assistance
- Parenting basics & fatherhood program
- Baby boutique filled with essentials for little ones
- And much more
During the ceremony, Executive Director Jacquelyn Seldon reflected on the center’s inspiring journey:
“I am truly overwhelmed by the support from our community and incredibly grateful for it. In 1978, a group of courageous women came together with the vision of providing a safe place for women in our community who were facing unplanned pregnancies. One of those founders, Miss Donna, is here with us today, and I wanted her to see the fruits of her labor. None of this would be possible without the support of our community, and for that, I thank you.”
Seldon shared the center’s growth from its humble beginnings in a single physician’s office to its incorporation in 1982, expansion into medical services in 2004, and now, the opening of this new clinic. With client visits recently doubling, the new facility offers nearly triple the space, enabling the center to better serve families with expanded counseling rooms, an updated ultrasound suite, a dedicated space for fathers, and a much larger baby boutique.
The Eastern Shore Pregnancy Center continues to provide compassionate care and essential resources to families in need. Community members are encouraged to support the center through donations of baby items, financial contributions, volunteer service, and prayer.
