At the Rotary Club of Wicomico County’s Weekly Meeting on June 25th, outgoing President Molly Hilligoss announced and recognized club member Bob Stephens as her 2023-2024 Rotarian of the Year.
Hilligoss praised Stephens for his many contributions to Rotary and the club. A member since 1988, Bob has served for many years as a dedicated member of the scholarship committee. Bob maintains the records for the Wicomico Rotary Foundation and all of the communication surrounding the scholarship recipients’ grades and the payments to their educational institutions.
Annually, The Rotary Club of Wicomico County contributes over $50,000 back into our community through the support of agencies and causes including: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, Life Crisis Center, scholarships for local high school and college students, The Christian Shelter, RYLA, Easter Seals Camp Fairlee, Polio Eradication (Global), Fruitland Community Center, HALO, Wicomico County Library, Field 7 ½, the construction of wheel chair ramps and much more.
