Rotary Club of Salisbury Inaugural Golf Outing

Less than one month to go and the Rotary Club of Salisbury’s inaugural community-based golf outing to raise money to share with local non-profit and charitable organizations already can be judged a success, even before the first golf ball is teed up, according to club President Ernie Colburn. “Thanks to individuals, organizations, and businesses that have stepped up to become financial partners, we expect to provide a substantial donation to local service agencies.”

“A Round for the Community” is a round of golf on September 8 at Green Hill County Club west of Salisbury to help the Rotary Club of Salisbury, in its 104th year of service to the community, stay around to help other organizations perform their missions to benefit Wicomico County residents. All net proceeds will be used to enhance and expand Rotary’s commitment to help students, veterans, families in need, and others who need assistance.

Money is being raised through corporate sponsorships, golfer registrations, and other means and is being handled through the Rotary Club of Salisbury Foundation, Inc, an IRS 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

These businesses, organizations, and individuals have stepped forward to be major sponsors for this inaugural event.
