Members of the Rotary Club of Salisbury worked in recent weeks to assist the Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism Department in the renovation of the Harmon Field Park tennis courts to become pickleball courts. The goal was to build and equip an information kiosk at the park entry to include a facility map and information board.
This project will revitalize an unused park into one with activities for all ages and demographics with new consistent daily use. It will include a brand-new playground, two lighted basketball courts, and 12 lighted pickleball courts that are accessible at no cost to participants.
Money to fund the project came from members of the Rotary Club of Salisbury and Rotary District 7630.
