Over the last few months members of the Rotary Club of Salisbury sold more than 3,600 tickets for the club’s annual raffle and in the process raised tens of thousands of dollars to help other organizations in our community provide their services to persons in need.
Winning the top prize of $10,000 was Carolyn Hall of Salisbury with a ticket sold by her husband and club member John Hall.
Annually, the Rotary Club of Salisbury donates thousands of volunteer hours and tens of thousands of dollars to aid other groups. The club’s recent beneficiaries have included the Salvation Army, the Christian Shelter, Fresh Start: A Wicomico County Back to School Event, the Humane Society of Wicomico County, the Joseph House, Meals on Wheels, the Maryland Food Bank, U.S. Kennels, Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company, Women Supporting Women, Boys and Girl Scouts, the Deaf Independent Living Association, and many more.
