At the Rotary Club of Wicomico County’s Installation Dinner on June 28, outgoing President A. Gillis Allen III announced and recognized Club Treasurer Molly Hilligoss and Charter Member Donald Hacker as his 2021-2022 Rotarians of the Year.
Allen praised both for their many contributions to Rotary and the club. Also at the event, 7-year Rotarian Tracy Hajir was officially sworn in as the next President of the club.
Annually, The Rotary Club of Wicomico County contributes over $50,000 back into our community through the support of agencies and causes including: YMCA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, scholarships for local high school and college students, The Christian Shelter, RYLA, Easter Seals Camp Fairlee, Polio Eradication (Global), Fruitland Community Center, HALO, Wicomico County Library, the Chesapeake Housing Mission and much more.
The Rotary Club of Wicomico County is entering its 35th year of service to our community. The club meets every Tuesday at noon in the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center at 500 Glen Avenue in Salisbury.
