SACC Co‑Hosts Ribbon Cutting for DoubleTree by Hilton Salisbury and Savour Restaurant

Official ribbon cutting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Salisbury
The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with DoubleTree by Hilton Salisbury, proudly hosted an official ribbon cutting ceremony on February 18 to celebrate the hotel’s grand debut under the iconic Hilton brand and the opening of its signature dining venue, Savour Restaurant.
The 143‑room hotel, managed by Sunset Hotel Group, began welcoming guests under the DoubleTree flag in late November 2025 following a significant investment in property‑wide enhancements. The transformation includes fully refreshed guest rooms, redesigned public spaces, modernized banquet facilities, and upgrades to the fitness center and pool area. The property also features a versatile 3,000 sq. ft. meeting room that can be divided into three separate spaces.
Guests were greeted by Lee Kellar, COO of Sunset Hotel Group; Mark DeIntinis, General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Salisbury; and Ralph DeAngelus, Director of Food & Beverage, along with their dedicated team. Attendees enjoyed guided tours of the renovated guest rooms, state‑of‑the‑art fitness center, pool, meeting spaces, lobby bar, and the newly opened Savour Restaurant.
The celebration featured a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres, including coconut shrimp with Thai chili sauce, lamb chops with chimichurri, jerk chicken with pineapple chipotle aioli, and scallops wrapped in bacon with balsamic glaze. Guests also enjoyed a complimentary beverage of their choice. Several lucky attendees won door prizes, including overnight stays at the new Hilton Spark in Chincoteague, the Holiday Inn Express in Harrington near Harrington Casino, and a one‑night stay with breakfast for two at the DoubleTree Salisbury, plus a $100 dining credit at Savour Restaurant.
Reflecting on the hotel’s journey, Kellar shared, “Over the past few years, this property has been through an incredible journey. When COVID hit, we had to shut the entire place down, every room, every space. But about six months ago, we finally reopened, and one of the biggest compliments we’ve received came when Bill Chambers joined us for lunch, looked around and said, ‘Lee, if you brought me into this building blindfolded and took it off, I’d have no idea where I was.’ And that’s exactly what we were aiming for—a transformation so complete that it feels entirely new.”
DoubleTree by Hilton hotels are known for warm hospitality, friendly service, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Standard brand amenities at the Salisbury property include complimentary Wi‑Fi, expanded fitness facilities, creative food and beverage offerings, and the beloved signature DoubleTree Cookie. Each guest room features an HDTV, in‑room safe, individual temperature controls, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Guests can also enjoy self‑service Starbucks® coffee available in the Lobby Market.
