Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) and its members enjoyed a highly successful July Business After Hours networking event on July 9, generously co-hosted by The Farmers Bank of Willards at its Salisbury branch located at 365 Tilghman Road.
Attendees were warmly welcomed by Branch Manager Abby Bradley, who shared remarks highlighting the bank’s longstanding commitment to community service and customer care. “As you may know, last year was a milestone celebration for Farmers Bank of Willards, as it was our 100th anniversary of serving our community with still the same mission of when we started in 1925 which is providing exceptional customer service in a community that cares about people,” Bradley said. “We will continue to fulfill this mission despite all of the mergers and acquisitions in our current markets and stay true to it 100 years from now.”
Bradley also shared exciting news about the bank’s continued growth, encouraging attendees to stay tuned for the opening of a new Farmers Bank of Willards branch in Delmar in 2027.
The Salisbury branch provided the perfect setting for an evening of productive networking, relationship-building, and community engagement. Guests enjoyed delicious food and beverages provided by Joe’s La Roma and Adam’s Taphouse Grille. The event featured a variety of door prizes, including themed gift baskets centered around whiskey, spa, coffee, and beach themes, which added to the excitement throughout the evening.
Attendees supported the SACC–Wor-Wic Community College Scholarship Fund by purchasing tickets for a raffle, with the winner receiving $50 gift cards to Two Scoops Ice Cream & Waffles and Hopper’s Tap House.
In the spirit of giving back, guests also participated in the Christmas in July Toy Drive Raffle benefiting The Joseph House. The lucky winner received two admission tickets to the Chincoteague Oyster Festival, generously donated by the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce and Certified Visitor Center.
The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce invites members and guests to continue building connections at the next Business After Hours, scheduled for August 13 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Salisbury.
