The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed members to a crowded June Business After Hours, cohosted by BBSI at their downtown Salisbury offices. The event offered a lively kickoff to the summer season, bringing together professionals from across the Lower Shore for meaningful conversation and strong networking connections.
Branch Manager Tony Nichols and the BBSI team warmly welcomed guests who had the opportunity to enjoy delicious light fares that included crab dip, delicious wings and chicken tenders, shrimp, a charcuterie board catered by MoJo’s Urban Eatery.  They also had fun participating in a Tricky Tray auction featuring creative dog, cat, and crab‑themed baskets, walk the red carpet and take glam pictures against a BBSI backdrop, play put put golf games for a special price, and play corn hole.
“In July 2006, when I started, our office managed about $3.5 million and paid roughly 250 people. Last year, we managed $195 million and paid more than 4,000 people. I tell everyone that this growth is because of our incredible team and the special community we have here in Salisbury, where business can still be done with the proverbial handshake.” shared Nichols.
Since 1989, BBSI has been a trusted partner to Delmarva’s business community. Their team supports small and medium‑sized businesses with comprehensive solutions including payroll administration, a robust workers’ compensation program, health benefits, staffing and recruiting, and hands‑on HR and business consulting.
The event also raised funds for the SACC Wor-Wic Community College Scholarship Fund through raffle ticket sales, with one lucky winner taking home over $100 in member gift cards to Residence Inn by Marriott in Ocean City and Savour Restaurant & Bar, and another winner receiving a 2-night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton in Salisbury.
The Chamber invites the community to the next Business After Hours on July 7 at The Farmers Bank of Willards on Tilghman Road. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift to support the Christmas in July Toy Drive benefiting The Joseph House.
