Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) Young Professionals gathered on September 10 for their monthly meeting at Commonwealth Senior Living, where members had the opportunity to tour the community and learn more about the services available to area seniors.
During the visit, attendees explored Commonwealth Senior Living’s offerings, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The tour provided members with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of senior living services while connecting with professionals and community members.
The morning also included a wonderful buffet breakfast and plenty of time for networking, conversation, and building new relationships.
“Our monthly meetings are about more than just networking—they’re an opportunity to learn from the businesses and organizations that make our community stronger,” said Journey Smith, Marketing Chair of the SACC Young Professionals. “We’re grateful to Commonwealth Senior Living for welcoming us, sharing their expertise, and giving our members the opportunity to connect while learning more about the important services they provide.”
The SACC Young Professionals will continue their focus on networking, professional development, and community service with two upcoming events.
Joint Happy Hour with Ocean City Young Professionals — September 17
The SACC Young Professionals will join the Ocean City Young Professionals for a joint happy hour benefiting Meals on Wheels on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at 12513 Ocean Gateway, Ocean City, MD 21842.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation from the requested list of pet food and treat items. The event will provide an opportunity for young professionals from across the region to network while supporting a local cause.

Young Professionals Lunch & Learn — October 8
The next SACC Young Professionals Lunch & Learn will take place Thursday, October 8, from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Pohanka of Salisbury, located at 112 W. Gordy Rd., Salisbury, MD 21801.
Guest speaker Jim Hartstein will lead a conversation focused on volunteer leadership, sharpening professional skills, and growing your network.
The SACC Young Professionals welcome members and prospective members who are interested in connecting with other professionals, developing their leadership skills, and becoming more involved in the local community.
