Salisbury Jaycee’s Awards and Installation Banquet

SALISBURY, MD—The Salisbury Jaycees recently announced it’s 2019 award winners during the chapter’s annual Awards and Installation Banquet. Honorees included:

  • John Armbruster Award (most active veteran member) – Jason Rhodes
  • Hidden Hero Award (a member who has done a job over and above the call of duty)– Tyler Harwood
  • Key Persons Award – D’Shawn Doughty & Kyle Livingston
  • Outstanding Community Partner Award – Allen Swiger, Wicomico County Recreation & Parks
  • John Culver Jaycee of the Year – Don Rutledge

During the ceremony, the chapter’s 2020 board of directors also was sworn in. It includes President D’Shawn Doughty, Chair Jamie Nichols, Individual Development Vice President Moses Cohen, Management Vice President Jory Joseph, Director of Marketing & Communications Samantha Marshall, and Secretary Arielle Hicks. President D’Shawn is excited about the Jaycees serving the community through projects that address the needs of the Eastern Shore.

The Salisbury Jaycees is a community service, social and leadership training organization for men and women ages 18-40 in Wicomico County and surrounding areas. Membership meetings are 6:30 p.m. the third Monday of each month at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Business Center, 144 E. Main St.
