47 ABC and Mountaire Farms recently presented the Salisbury Jaycees with its Better Delmarva Award, honoring individuals and organizations serving the community.

The Jaycees were lauded for 75 years of service. The chapter’s annual community activities include the Salisbury Christmas Parade, Children’s Christmas Shopping Tour for the less fortunate, Treat Street safe Halloween trick-or-treating initiative, Salisbury Super Soapbox Spectacular (with St. Francis de Sales Boy Scout Troop 185) and Read Across America at the Wicomico Public Library, among others.

The award also recognized the growth and leadership training opportunities the Jaycees offer its members.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the Salisbury Jaycees are a community service, social and leadership training organization for men and women ages 18-40 on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
