Salisbury Symphony Orchestra Performs ‘Fall Overtures’

SALISBURY, MD – Guest violist Dr. Roman Kosarev joins the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra (SSO) for its annual fall concert, “Fall Overtures,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 16, in Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium.

The performance is an overture, marking the beginning of the SSO’s 2021-22 concert season. The program includes music by Rossini, Glazunov, Hailstork, Bruch and Johann Christian Bach.

Kosarev is a faculty member at Oakland University and the principal violist of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in Ontario, Canada. He also has served as a principal for the Greater Lansing Symphony, Midland Symphony, Battle Creek Symphony and Blue Lake Festival Orchestras. He actively performs with multiple orchestras in Michigan and Ontario.

A native of Russia, Kosarev pursued his B.M. and M.M. at Nizhniy Novgorod State Conservatory and his Ph.D. in viola performance at Michigan State University.

Tickets are $25, $20 for senior citizens and $5 for students, available at www.salisbury.universitytickets.com.

All attendees at SU events are required to wear a mask while in the audience, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
