
Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Zoo will host a series of community events this spring aimed at bringing families together while raising funds to support animal care, education programs, and conservation efforts.
The season begins with the Easter Jeep Hop on Saturday, March 28, from 1 to 4 p.m., in partnership with Delmarva Jeep Events. The Easter-themed event will include a Jeep decorating contest inside the Zoo, candy and prize giveaways, ambassador animals, appearances by the Easter Bunny, and a Jeep show-and-shine with food trucks, music, and raffles. On Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Zoo will host its annual Earth Day celebration, a free event focused on environmental education and community engagement. The event will feature educational booths, local vendors, hands-on activities for children, and presentations by local environmental groups. A Sensory-Friendly Hour from 10 to 11 a.m., in partnership with the Salisbury University Psychology Department, will offer a quieter experience for families with sensory sensitivities. The spring season concludes with the Zoo Stampede 5K on Saturday, May 2, at 9 a.m.. The race will begin at the Zoo’s East Gate and travel through the Zoo and Salisbury City Park. This year’s theme highlights the monarch butterfly migration, with proceeds supporting the Salisbury Zoo and its conservation programs.
