Salvation Army, Lower Eastern Shore Asking for Donations to Help Those in Need

Salisbury, MD- April 21, 2020 – The Salvation Army, Lower Eastern Shore continues to meet human need in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To meet this need the Salvation Army is requesting monentary donations.

With spikes expected to continue, ongoing public support is needed to help ensure that services are available to existing and new vulnerable populations. The Salvation Army in Salisbury, MD, is ensuring people have access to food and desperately needed services like essential childcare. The Salvation Army needs funding to be able to continue to provide these needed services throughout this pandemic.

Services includes drive-through food pickups and delivery of food boxes to senior citizens who are less likely to venture out.

The Salvation Army, Lower Eastern Shore is making it possible for those in need within the community to schedule appointments for food pick-up on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s. In addition, The Salvation Army Richard Hazel Youth Center is open for children of essential workers, spaces are limited and the public is advised to call for space availability.
