Salisbury, MD- October 31, 2019— The Salvation Army of Lower Eastern Shore is looking for volunteers—individuals and groups—to ring the bells at the Red Kettles this Christmas season. The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is a critical fundraiser for the organization’s Christmas assistance and year-round programs that address social concerns in the community.
Volunteer opportunities are November 9 thru December 24, 2019, with a variety of days & times. To volunteer, please contact Brandee Smallwood, Kettle Coordinator, at 410-749-7771 ext. 111.
Last year The Salvation Army raised over $200,000 in the Red Kettle Campaign. This money helped the community through social service programs that assist those in need.
“The money raised in the Red Kettles creates a year of hope for families and individuals in need,” said Capt. Matt Trantham, corps officer for The Salvation Army of Lower Eastern Shore. “Pocket-change opens doors for at-risk youth, provides food for empty tables, and helps families stay warm and safe in their homes. This season, every cent helps us turn hope into reality.”
