Salvation Army Reschedules Annual Golf Tournament

Salvation Army

Salisbury, MD – The Salvation Army Lower Eastern Shore has postponed the annual  golf tournament due to weather. The “Golf For A Cause” golf tournament will now take place on August  16, 2024. We will host the event at Green Hill County Club in Quantico, MD. The annual golf  tournament raises much needed funds to help with our programs for youth and adults in need in  Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties.

Join us in celebrating this event with our partners WMDT/47ABC and Hole-in-One sponsor Pittsville  Ford of Salisbury. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

The tournament is a vital component of The Salvation Army’s annual campaign to raise funds and  create awareness of its programs. Corps Officer Captain Angel Simmons says “This tournament has  happened for more than 40 Years! This year it is crucial that we raise funds to keep our programs  going. With the increase in minimum wage and the cost to operate, the Salvation Army needs to raise  $50,000 to stay afloat. We are still $14,000 short. Events like this allow us to continue to financially  support our initiatives while also generating excitement around opportunities to support our local  programs.”
