As many of you know, we had to postpone the 2017 Maryland Legislative Wrap –Up that had originally scheduled for June 8.

We are excited to report that we have now rescheduled the Regional Wrap-Up for the Eastern Shore, with not one but TWO presentations!

Thanks to the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Committee and the Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, we will be holding TWO Legislative Wrap-Ups on Thursday, July 13:

8:00 – Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce
144 E. Main Street, Salisbury MD 21803
410-749-0144

12:00 – Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce
Eunice Q. Sorin Visitor and Conference Center
12320 Ocean Gateway
Ocean City, Maryland 21842
410-213-0552

Each presentation will run approximately two hours, addressing the business-impacting legislation from the 2017 Maryland General Assembly Session; what to expect in the 2018 Session; and what will be taking place in between the two that will shape the 2018 Session, including efforts regarding the mandatory paid leave legislation (House Bill 1 – “Labor and Employment – Maryland Healthy Working Families Act”).

More details, including a link to register for the events, will be forthcoming shortly. Should you have any questions in the interim, please do not hesitate to contact Larry Richardson, VP of Government Affairs for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, at 443-223-3500 or Lrichardson@mdchamber.org, or Richard Reinhardt, Director of Government Affairs for the Maryland Chamber, at 443-223-4541 or Rreinhardt@mdchamber.org.
