
Salisbury, MD – TidalHealth is pleased to welcome Deanna Schloemer, DNP, to TidalHealth Palliative Medicine in Salisbury, Md.
She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Salisbury University. Schloemer is a certified family nurse practitioner, an advanced certified hospice and palliative care nurse practitioner, and is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
Schloemer began her nursing career in 2009 at Wicomico Nursing Home and joined TidalHealth in 2011 as a registered nurse in the medical-surgical unit. While pursuing her doctorate, she also served as a medical simulation specialist and continues to support the education of healthcare professionals by volunteering as a BLS instructor.
After becoming a nurse practitioner, Schloemer provided care in subacute rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care settings at Genesis. She later joined Coastal Hospice and Palliative Care, where she delivered hospice and palliative services across a range of settings, including clinics, hospitals, inpatient hospice units, long-term care facilities and private homes.
A Salisbury native, Schloemer enjoys spending her free time working on her truck camper, playing with her cat Tilly, and camping on Assateague Island with her family and their beagle, Neville.
