Wor-Wic Community College will host the Shatter the Stigma Walk at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road. The free event is in partnership with Walk Wicomico and Wicomico Goes Purple, a countywide effort to promote substance misuse prevention, treatment and recovery. The event will also offer addiction resource information and Narcan training.

The first 150 walkers who register will receive free t-shirts and water bottles. Visit the events section of www.worwic.edu for more information or to register. Along with a stroller-friendly one-mile walking path, the event will feature mascot appearances, music, juggler Cascading Carlos, free snacks and more.
