SALISBURY, MD – SHORE UP! Inc. has extended its deadline for tax drops offs through April 30, 2021.

Since January, the agency has been offering FREE Tax Preparation for individuals and families through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA Program). Those who make $57,000 or less annually may be eligible to have their 2020 taxes prepared at no cost.

Due to the pandemic, SHORE UP! is not scheduling appointments at the office; however, eligible participants may bring their tax documents to 520 Snow Hill Rd. in Salisbury. Drop offs are accepted Mondays through Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“Because the federal income tax filling due date was extended from April 15 to May 17, 2021, SHORE UP! has decided to also extend the deadline for our free tax preparation services,” says Tameka Kenan-Norman, chief Development and Communications Officer. “This has been an extremely challenging year, so we want to do all that we can to provide assistance to individuals and families.”
