Stash Your Trash Make-a-Crab Project is sponsored by Chesapeake Tours & Promotions and SU Environmental Studies Dept. To help promote Stash Your Trash, the community anti-litter campaign, teams will be making crabs from recyclable materials.  Last fall community members made herons out of recyclable materials.  The winning heron, “Scuttle” is on display at featured businesses as a reward for their commitment to being litter free.  The rest of the flock is on display at different community venues throughout Salisbury including the Wicomico Free Library, Tourism office and Civic Center.

From herons to crabs…. The crab contest is easy to participate in.  Here’s what to do:

·         Gather a team of three or more peoplecrab frame a

·         Receive your crab frame from a sponsor (listed below)

·         Use your imagination and decorate the frame using recyclable materials

·         Bring your completed crab to 3rd Friday in October to help promote Stash Your Trash.
