Maryland Office of Tourism Development has contracted with NEXTFactor Enterprises, Inc. to conduct a statewide tourism assessment and five regional assessments using its DestinationNEXT web-based diagnostic tool. The assessment is based on 20 variables related to destination strength and community support and engagement. By objectively measuring these factors, DestinationNEXT empowers OTD, Destination Management Organizations, and their industry partners to identify strengths, priorities, areas for potential improvement, and develop strategies for future growth.

OTD and the DestinationNEXT team will conduct five regional workshops across Maryland:

May 24 Southern MD, College of Southern Maryland, Room BU 204, 8730 Mitchell Rd, La Plata

May 25 Capital Region, The Universities at Shady Grove, Building III, Room, III-2211, 9636 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville

June 7 Eastern Shore, Chesapeake College, Queen Anne’s Technical Building, Room T-130, Wye Mills
