SU Art Galleries Downtown Presents ‘Here/Not Here’

here-not-here

SALISBURY, MD—Salisbury University Art Galleries Downtown (SUAGD) hosts the exhibition “Here/Not Here” through Saturday, October 17.
Artwork selected for this juried exhibition tells the stories not often told about the landscape and architecture of the place we call “here.” The show features works by 18 artists, many who live or work on the Eastern Shore. Their work takes many different forms, including photographs, paintings, sculpture, installation, video and performance.
The exhibition is available for private (small group and individual) visits by appointment only. The show is also viewable online at www.suartgalleries.org/here-not-here.
An exhibition catalogue is forthcoming, including poetry inspired by the artwork on view. Those interested in submitting poetry for consideration may do so at www.suartgalleries.org/opportunities-for-artists/call-for-poetry by Monday, August 17.
Eve Hennessa, one of the exhibiting artists, performs 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, and presents an artist talk 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24. Both will be available virtually.
Appointments to visit the Galleries may be scheduled at www.suartgalleries.org/visit. Gallery visitors must adhere to SU’s COVID-19 policies, including participating in a brief on-site health screening, wearing a face mask and maintaining a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others in the gallery when possible.
