SALISBURY, MD—The Salisbury University Student Government Association (SGA), Sustainability Office and Environmental Student Association celebrate Earth Week with events on and off campus Monday-Friday, April 22-26 in Red Square.

From noon-3 p.m. Monday, April 22, the focus is on food: Students may enjoy do-it-yourself smoothies created with a bike-powered blender, as well as a Garden Club fruits and vegetables fundraiser.

On Tuesday, April 23, students and guests have the opportunity to paint marigolds and hear a pollinator guest speaker from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The SGA’s semi-annual Recycle Madness event returns from noon-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 24. Student organizations compete to see which can bring in the most recyclables by weight.

Students may hear more information about campus pollinators and make their own coffee scrubs and terrariums from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, April 25.

From 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, participants may test their bicycle safety knowledge for prizes. They also may checkout live bees, and support a fundraiser for bird and bee boxes from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
