SU to host ribbon-cutting at new downtown Eastern Shore Regional GIS Center Sept. 17

ESRGC-Lobby1

The campus and greater communities are invited to join Salisbury University to dedicate the new home of its Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative (ESRGC) in Downtown Salisbury.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 17, in Suite 305 of SU’s Plaza Gallery Building (212 West Main Street). A reception and tours follow until 4:30 p.m.
The ESRGC and its staff provide access to advanced mapping and visualization technologies to governments, non-profits and businesses on the Delmarva Peninsula and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Using geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data, technical support and training are made available at a discounted cost to clients. The event offers a unique opportunity to explore the ESRGC’s services and new space downtown.
The ESRGC is a joint effort of SU and two planning and development agencies: the Mid-Shore Regional Council and the Tri-County Council of the Lower Eastern Shore.
Free parking (two hours) is available in the City of Salisbury lot on Circle Avenue, behind the Downtown Plaza.
For more information contact the ESRGC at 410-677-5390 or esrgc@salisbury.edu, or visit the SU website at www.salisbury.edu.
