SALISBURY, MD – Summer is almost here, which means that summer camps are almost here. Wicomico County Recreation & Parks is offering multiple camp options, including Pemberton Park Nature Camp and Kids Klub Summer Escape.
“I am especially excited for Pemberton Nature Camp this summer,” said Fallon Jackson, program director for childcare and environmental education. “We’ve done some restructuring of the curriculum and have increased the variety of its environmental programming.”
Campers will discover the natural world at Pemberton Park Nature Camp through hands-on lessons, hikes, games, crafts and outdoor activities. It is open to children ages 5-12. Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 27-Aug. 12, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration fees are $175 per camper, per week. A multi-child discount is available. Kids Klub Summer Escape will operate at two locations this summer: Delmar Elementary and Willards Elementary. Campers will enjoy theme-inspired activities, including a variety of games, sports-related activities, arts and crafts.
Kids Klub Summer Escape is open to children ages 5-12. It will run Monday-Friday, June 27-Aug. 26, from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Registration fees for weeks one and two are $125 per camper, per week. Registration fees for weeks three through nine are $150 per child, per week. A multi-child discount is available. Registration information can be found at www.WicomicoRecandParks.org.
Space is limited. Both camps are open for registration until full.
