Tango, a universal tablet stand and mounting system, is a finalist in the 2014 Eastern Shore Business Competition. The final selection will take place on Wednesday, November 12, at the Entrepreneur Expo in Linthicum, MD, near BWI airport.
Using just the allowed seven-minute presentation and five PowerPoint slides, the inventor, Ms. Shelley Wetzel, will explain how Tango was created, highlight its benefits versus the competition, showcase the multi-colored prototypes and discuss the market segmentation for this unique product.
Unlike competitor models in the marketplace, Tango’s benefits include being:
* portable – it can be folded into and carried in a briefcase, purse, or backpack
* versatile – it can be used on a flat surface or with the mounting system, suspended from under a cabinet or shelf or against a wall
* durable – it is made of aluminum and plastic
* beautifully designed – it comes in multiple color options
Tango’s versatility is noteworthy, offering multi-view, multi angle, multi-environment, and multi-device convenience. It mounts under cabinets or shelves or against the wall, allowing the tablet to be turned up to 360 degrees with just one finger, in 1 degree increments. When connected to a flat surface, the tablet can be adjusted horizontally or vertically to any angle. Also accommodating phablets, Tango is ideal for use when traveling—on the airplane and at conferences and hotels. In addition, Tango allows the user to create a mini-desktop, supporting a wi-fi keyboard and mouse. Tango allows hands-free use, keeping valuable technology secure and up and out of the way.
Tango will be marketed to consumers and businesses, with a targeted production launch at the end of 2014 or early 2015.
