The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce was delighted to welcome to its membership the Law Office of Marianna Batie in July 2022, and on February 2, 2023, we were excited to join attorney Marianna Batie as she inaugurated her Salisbury office at 1321 Mt. Hermon Rd.

Marianna Batie, who is a Salisbury native and has practiced at the largest law firm in the world and the oldest law firm on the Eastern Shore, expressed her sincere thanks to everyone that stopped by to help them celebrate this grand opening. “Our firm kind of had its genesis several years ago. Both Reena, who practices with me, and I worked at Hearne and Bailey in the past. Five years ago, I decided to strike out on my own with an office in West Ocean City. A year and a half ago, Reena and I decided that we would like work together again. We have a great staff that has a lot of fun and enjoys what we do. Reena, Jamie, Joanne, and Christina are ready to help you. We have sort of a narrow and deep focus on our practice. We do wills, trusts, and estates and are here to support all of those needs. My background… I started my law practice in Atlanta, GA, and Baltimore, and then moved back home and have been practicing in this area since 2003.”

The office is complimented by Reena Patel, Esq. who is a NY native and leverages the practice with national-level experience with a local’s attention to client needs. She focuses on civil law, particularly probate, and litigation. “I get the joy of dealing with everyone once there might be conflict or once someone has passed and believe me that shows up in a lot of different forms. I also still do some bank work. I am not a Salisbury native, but I married one and I am raising three true natives born in the old PRMC. We would love to help you in the future.”

With offices in West Ocean City and Salisbury, the Law Offices of Marianna Batie now serves Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties with areas of expertise in estate planning, business and succession planning, estate administration/probate, elder law and long-term care, probate/fiduciary, litigation and guardianship.

Guests enjoyed appetizers provided by chamber members Evolution Craft Brewing Company and Mission BBQ, as well as assorted beverages. Door prizes included a $50 gift certificate to Rise Up and Mission BBQ, as well as a gift certificate for a 1-hour consultation at the firm valued at $350.00.
