The SACC Welcomes 2024 Board of Directors and Voting Council

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, a regional Chamber, held its Annual Installation Luncheon at the Courtyard by Marriott in Salisbury. The Honorable James “Bo” McAllister, Clerk of the Court Wicomico County presided over the swearing in of the for the 2024 Chairman of the Board, new Board of Directors, and members of the 2024 Voting Council.  

The Chamber Board of Directors Chair for 2024 is Zach Evans, Mountaire Farms. In his acceptance remarks, Evans spoke of the past leadership, “I plan to stand on the shoulders of past Board Chairs and the work they have given to the Chamber that has helped this Chamber grow and prosper.” 

The new Board of Directors members included Dr. Deborah Casey, Wor-Wic Community College; Veronica James, ERA Martin Associates; Reena Patel, Law Office of Marianna Batie; Randolph Potter, Revive Sound Productions, LLC; and Jennifer Poulsen, Hebron Savings Bank.  

 Voting Council members sworn in at the ceremony included Stephanie Willey, 47ABC WMDT; Sandy Fitzgerald-Angello, Pohanka Automotive Group of Salisbury; Jay Bosley, D3 Corp.; and Randy Day, Perdue Farms. 

Joining the Chamber At Large Council for 2024 were, David Botscheller, Becker Morgan Group, Inc.; Maureen Cody, Avery Hall Insurance; Bernie Flax, Coastal Association of Realtors©; Melissa Kelly, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield; Mayor Randy Taylor, City of Salisbury, MD; and Hank Yuloff, Yuloff Creative Marketing Solutions.  

 SACC President/CEO Bill Chambers and incoming Board Chairman Zach Evan thanked outgoing Chairman of the Board Greg Reddell, State Farm Insurance, and Board members Shawn Jester, Constituent Liaison for Congressman Andy Harris, and Melodie Carter, Hebron Savings Bank. 

Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano delivered the keynote address to the assembled business and organizational leaders. Giordano commented on the positive business environment in the county.  

“When national developers including St. John’s properties want to expand their portfolio to include developing projects in Wicomico County, we must ensure that we make that process as positive as possible from start to finish.” 

The County Executive also touted the aircraft mechanics school about to start at the SBY airport, “We invested the $3.3 million from the state to leverage this critical new pipeline for Piedmont Airlines and the airline industry, right here in Wicomico County. We are hopeful that Governor Moore will support $14 million dollars towards the construction of a dedicated hanger at the airport to further support the school.”
