Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury School announces Mr. Gil Allen as Chairman of its Board of Trustees. A 2006 graduate of The Salisbury School, Allen brings an impressive record of professional achievement and community leadership to this role.
Allen is an attorney and partner with the law firm of Allen & Allen, Chtd. in Salisbury. He holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond and a J.D. from the College of William and Mary. Before entering private practice, Allen served as a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County.
A dedicated advocate for his community, Allen has served as president of the Rotary Club of Wicomico County, president of the Wicomico County Bar Association, and chairman of the City of Salisbury Board of Zoning Appeals. He is currently a member of the Greater Salisbury Committee and previously served on the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association.
Allen’s leadership and service have been recognized with several prestigious honors, including:

- 2020 Leadership in Law Award – The Daily Record

Mr. Allen lives in the Salisbury area with his wife, Kathryn, and their two daughters, Eliza (TSS ’36) and Amelia (TSS ’39).
