Salisbury, MD – The Salisbury School Educational Foundation (TSSEF), announced today that it has named Mindy Myrick as executive director.
An alumnus of The Salisbury School (TSS), Myrick, who has over 25 years of experience in communications, marketing and corporate affairs executive leadership, will be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing the functions of TSSEF’s operations and programs. She will oversee the growth of the permanent endowment and seek funding for the capital needs of TSS, especially related to campus facilities and amenities.
“My relationship with The Salisbury School started as a young student entering first grade and has continued through the education of my own children. Experiencing the community and culture of TSS as a student and parent further fuels my passion to ensure TSS continues to shape future generations of young people,” Myrick said. “I’m excited to combine my corporate experience with my deep appreciation for TSS to develop the culture of philanthropy at the school that will enable TSS to thrive for another 50 years.”
Myrick joins TSSEF from DS Smith, an $8B global packaging company, where she most recently served as corporate affairs director for North America. During her 10 years with DS Smith, she also played an integral role in developing the US marketing function, starting as a brand manager and eventually being appointed marketing director for the North America operations.
“I am pleased to welcome Mindy to the team and believe her expertise combined with her long history with TSS will strengthen the leadership and further the development of TSSEF,” said Nick Kypreos, board chairman of TSSEF. “As executive director, she will play a critical role in bringing forward-thinking strategies and best practice to TSSEF in order to enable The Salisbury School to continue its exceptional tradition of educational excellence and innovation.”
